I know Chichester well as there has been a Maison Blanc here for some years. It is rare to find a city with such history that is so vibrant and alive. When I came to England, this is the kind of city I imagined I would find. Though I was unable to find an old building for the Brasserie, the site in the newly built cobbled Square behind the sweet little St Pancras church is a wonderful haven from the hustle and bustle of city life. Weather permitting, you may even transport yourself to the South of France, as you sit and watch the world go by. I can guarantee the food but sadly I’m still working on the sun. The last Frenchman to arrive in Chichester, Prince Louis in 1216 had less friendly intentions. Luckily he was persuaded to leave. I come in peace and with only the best of intentions.
