Welcome to our very first Newsletter, where we keep you up-to-date with what’s happening in the world of Brasserie Blanc, as well as sharing my tips of the trade and favourite recipes, inspired by Maman Blanc. Sourcing fresh, seasonal produce is something we take very seriously at Brasserie Blanc and we’ll be visiting local producers, as well as discovering the best, seasonal produce available at this time of year.
For me personally, 2008 has been a vintage year – with the exciting launch of two new Brasseries in the historic cities of Winchester and Bristol. Our new Brasserie in Bristol is particularly breathtaking. A former Quakers Meeting Hall, we have carefully restored this Grade 1 listed building to its former glory. We have just launched our wonderful winter a la carte menu, which includes some of my favourite dishes. Our Dine with Wine Menu, with two courses and a glass of wine (£11.50) continues to be very popular with our guests (click here to see our menus).
It’s also been a very rewarding and challenging time with the launch of my new book, ‘A Taste of my Life’ and the second BBC 2 series of The Restaurant. This year’s series showed some fantastic challenges for the contestants, giving viewers a brutal insight into what it takes to run a successful restaurant.
At Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, we have an exciting calendar of events leading up to Christmas including our torch-lit walk to our lovely local church St Mary’s Church for an enchanting Christmas Carol Concert Evening.
2009 promises to be another exciting year for Brasserie Blanc – I can’t wait to open our Brasseries in Portsmouth and Bath!
I hope you enjoy all our news – don’t forget to forward to your friends and family!
We look forward to welcoming you to our Brasseries very soon!
A Bientot
