On Tuesday 21st May Raymond Blanc met with pupils and teachers from Willow Dene School in Greenwich to present a specially adapted mini-bus, alongside guest of honour, Paralympic skier Anna Turney. Willow Dene is the only school in Greenwich to cater solely for children with learning disabilities. This afternoon Raymond Blanc showed a packed audience in The Real Food Festival demo marquee on the Southbank where he showed the audience some of his kitchen secrets - including some magical chocolate creations! Later in the afternoon back over at Brasserie Blanc Southbank Raymond signed books whilst guests enjoyed the sunshine with a glass or two of Champagne. Our Threadneedle St Brasserie Blanc played host to a melee of photographers and camera crews as Mayor Boris joined Raymond to call on London's hospitality industry to take on more young apprentices.The Mayor hopes to see 250,000 new roles for apprentices in London and has a major focus on the capital's restaurants and hotels.  Raymond and Brasserie Blanc have already taken on four new apprentices who appeared at the launch today and will be taking on another 17 across the country before the summer.
