			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The sun is shining at last, marking the official arrival of the Great British Summer! So today we have launched our brand new summer menus at Brasserie Blanc. Our new menus feature the best of British produce, focussing on seasonal summer ingredients of the highest quality.</p>

<p>Begin with fresh summer appetisers such as our rose harissa olives, or a freshly baked baguette with anchovies and anchovy butter, before moving on to one of our tempting starters. Chilled pea and mint soup is the ideal light starter for a summer’s day, or you could go for the heartier warm ox tongue salad. Tartare starters include hand cut fillet steak with egg yolk and seasonings or hand cut home-smoked Scottish salmon served with our mouth-watering baguettes.</p>

<p>Main courses allow fantastic ingredients to shine. Pan-fried lamb sweetbreads are served with smooth mash, garlic shallots and parsley. There is a rack of Southdown lamb, paired with lemon and herb puy lentils. Or you could choose the lightly dressed Cornish crab, accompanied by lemon mayonnaise and french fries. And then there are our juicy steaks, we only serve the highest quality free range beef, pasture reared at selected farms across Cornwall, all dry aged for a minimum of 30 days.</p>

Chocoholics are well catered for with our Valrhona triple chocolate dessert (chocolate mousse, chocolate crumble and chocolate sorbet), whilst those who prefer a fruity treat should try our delicious new blackcurrant mousse, served with blackcurrant coulis and a cat’s tongue biscuit.</p>

<p><strong>Tuesday 28th May</strong> is Comedy Night with the Berkhamsted Brasserie hosting comedian John Ryan.  An Edinburgh Highlights Award Winner, John has been described as ‘irresistibly amiable’, ‘Upbeat, interesting and unique’ &amp; ‘A five star performer’.  John is just what the doctor ordered to beat the post bank holiday blues. Tickets £30 including 3 course dinner.</p>
